I have often realized, that, when I am angry with somebody, I prefer letting go that anger after some time. It goes like this – when you are angry, you have two options – (1) Hold the grudge against the person you are angry with or (2) Forgive. When you hold the grudge against that person, especially your loved ones, you will feel a sense of heaviness in the air and in your heart. Your mind will be occupied with negative thoughts. You won’t be able to concentrate on anything you do. You’ll end up feeling anxious, irritated and disturbed. But if you let go the anger & just behave normal, believe me, you will feel amazing and also find your surroundings to be more pleasant. The best part about forgiving is the sense of calmness and peace of mind that one can experience. Forgiving is more difficult than holding something against somebody. But, this of course is applicable when the reason for anger is petty. If someone does something really bad to you, then it is better to forgive but not forget and be cautious in future as far as that person is concerned.
Forgiveness is always better than being hooked to grudges. Life is too short to be wasted on getting angry and spoiling your time and energy over those people who are not worth giving so much importance.
